How many products in Google Shopping are sold by multiple sellers?

Last updated: September 14, 2026

Percentage of multi-seller products per day (last 30 days)

Daily percentage of organic Google Shopping product listings shared across more than one seller. Fluctuations reflect changes in query mix and the products Google chooses to surface on any given day.

Data based on the last 30 days of data from Productrise.

Why seller overlap changes how optimization works

When the same product is sold by many different stores, Google's Shopping Graph builds its understanding of that product from the collective data of all of them—not just you. If 15 sellers carry the same espresso machine and 14 of them have near-identical titles, your title change alone may not register as a meaningful signal. Optimization still matters, but the impact is diluted, and you need realistic expectations about speed and magnitude.

Products you own exclusively are where feed optimization has the most direct impact. For products with heavy seller overlap, focus on signals others might neglect: high-resolution images, accurate pricing, and complete structured data. These raise your odds of being chosen as the lead seller. The Productrise competitive position report tracks exactly this breakdown for every product you monitor, so you can see at a glance where exclusivity gives you an optimization edge.

Click-through rate amplifies this effect. For shared products, CTR signals from all sellers feeding the same item contribute to how Google evaluates that listing. Our data shows that competitive pricing is one of the strongest levers for improving CTR on shared listings, and data on keyword-optimized titles confirms that relevance still matters—especially where you're the sole seller.

How we calculate this data

For each product listing tracked by Productrise, we record a has_multiple_sellers flag indicating whether Google signalled additional sellers alongside the primary one shown in the carousel. Each day we count all tracked product listings and calculate what share carry this flag. Because the same product can appear on multiple days and the lead seller can change, counts reflect appearances rather than unique products.
