About this series

Organic Shopping Talks is a Productrise interview series where I talk with agencies, brands, and freelancers who use Productrise to level up their organic shopping results: what's actually working in ecom search, product visibility, and feed optimization, straight from the people doing it.

Enjoy! - Hugo

Who are you, what do you do, and what does your business look like today?

My name is Mike Sack, founder of SEOasis. We're an AI-era SEO agency built for ecommerce businesses that want to drive new revenue via traditional Organic and AI search. We started in 2024 and have since grown to a small team of 6! We're growing pretty quickly and our main focus is to keep the "boutique" feel as we continue to scale by providing all our clients direct access to the people actually doing the work. We don't gate them behind an account manager.

If you're not actively optimizing organic (and paid) shopping, you're going to miss out.

What drew you to organic shopping, and what keeps you here?

Up until 6 months ago, we didn't pay much attention to organic shopping. But we noticed a pattern across all our accounts that shopping was starting to produce a higher percentage of overall organic revenue.

We suspect this shift is part of Google's zero-click effort to keep everyone on Google properties as long as possible.

Regardless of reason, though, the trend was super clear, and so we started to look for solutions to help us optimize these feeds for Free Listings at scale and found Productrise :)

What's your honest take on where the organic shopping industry is heading?

I think Google has made it very clear, both explicitly and implicitly, that its goal is to keep users on Google properties from search to sale. From AI overviews to the new shopping features they're releasing soon, the path organic shopping is on is unambiguous.

Over the next few years, the percentage of people who buy things directly inside Google is going to grow. If you're not actively optimizing organic (and paid) shopping, you're going to miss out. We're already seeing this trend across all our clients.

What goal are you working toward right now, and what's the biggest obstacle in your way?

Our goal is to be the go-to agency for ecommerce brands looking to improve their visibility in AI. Everyone has a different solution to it right now, and there don't seem to be any right answers. There are a lot of short-term "hacks", let's call them, to influence answers, but whether those are lasting solutions remains to be seen. So it's a lot of work testing different strategies to figure out what actually works for ecommerce brands.

Has something changed in how you do your work since you started using Productrise, and if so, what is it?

To me, the supplemental feed creation is the most useful feature since it allows us to really easily optimize our clients' existing feeds for Free Listings. I'm sure there are a bunch of cool features I'm not fully using though :)

If you could give one piece of advice to someone just starting out in organic shopping, what would it be?

Don't get lazy with the images and with testing title structures. These are the two biggest influences on CTR. High-quality images and high-quality titles will take you very very far in this game.

Before you go

A quickfire round I ask every guest.
